Career Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead to join our engineering team in Sligo. This position reports to the API Engineering Manager and will lead and manage a team of plant support engineers and technicians to support manufacturing continuously, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shift Continuity: Ensure continuity across shifts throughout the week, including a.m. handovers.
2. Timecard Review: Complete timecard review and approval for all PSEs.
3. Training and Compliance: Responsible for adherence to training schedule, delivery of toolbox talks, WO coordination, WO reviews.
4. Weekly Review: Complete weekly review/accuracy/completeness of PH sheets.
5. Shift Cover: Arrange shift cover for Annual Leave, approve Annual Leave and other requests.
6. Performance Management: Set goals, manage performance and development activities for all direct reports.
7. Weekly Planning: Input to weekly planning meeting.
8. Tier 1 Representation: Represent Engineering shift support at Tier 1 morning meetings.
9. Maintenance: Resolve manufacturing escalations in a timely manner.
10. Resource Allocation: Coordinate resources and assign tasks and activities.
11. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Shift Leaders/Operation Supervisors to ensure interdepartmental activities are planned and executed safely.
12. Safety and Quality: Ensure Engineering compliance with all safety, environmental and quality-related BOPs.
13. Documentation: Document all activities in line with cGMP requirements.
14. Team Development: Cross-train team members and train new team members.
15. cGMP Maintenance: Maintain the overall cGMP of the pharmaceutical processing areas.
Requirements
1. Education: Diploma/Trade qualification in suitable science/engineering course and/or suitable experience.
2. Experience: 3+ years' experience in a highly regulated industry performing an equivalent position.
3. Manufacturing Knowledge: Detailed functional knowledge required of a wide range of manufacturing equipment is essential.
4. Instrumentation Troubleshooting: Proven instrumentation/troubleshooting ability.
5. cGMP and HPRA/FDA Knowledge: Good knowledge of procedures, policies and guidelines required to comply with cGMP and HPRA/FDA guidelines.
6. Flexibility: Must be flexible and support the business through working shifts and adhering to the standby schedule.
