MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KPIs Shift Management Lead the Shift Team to achieve production targets/KPIsEnsure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygieneMaintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping PracticeMonitor and control costsEnsure the safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitorsEnsure that team are properly trained and managed to work in a safe, quality conscious and effective wayMaintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levelsEnsure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performanceDrive initiatives to maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficienciesLiaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum resultsResponsible for Danone Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal ControllerInterface with HR in relation to employee performance/development and any employee relations issuesUpdate relevant HR systems as required General Management The Shift Manager will be expected to cover for the Production Manager when absent and support the Production Manager in other areas of productionContribute to the overall department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and EnvironmentDrive correct usage, maintenance and development of all production systems Functional Competencies Professional manager and leader with the highest standards of integrityProactive mind-set, consistently seeks out continuous improvementsStrong work ethic required with evident enthusiasm for the roleA team player who can galvanise support for achieving key objectivesCapable of taking the lead in changeRequirement for versatility in difficult situationsAbility to lead and motivate a diverse team of employeesMature outlook and ability to manage stressful and challenging environmentsGood reporting, writing and numerical skillsClear thinking individual who can resolve issues on their feet with a decisive personalityClear communication of their objectives and motivation of staff PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years experience in a management/supervisory role in the food manufacturing Industry is requiredThird level qualification in a related field is desirableSAP/MES/SCADA experience highly desirableA strong understanding of Microsoft Office is required Candidates must be eligible to work full time and long term in the location specified or currently hold a valid appropriate long term work Visa to apply.
