About The Role
Reporting to the CIO, the successful candidate will join a world-class IT support team, providing support to our IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in end-user IT support including desktop/laptop hardware, desktop operating systems (MS Windows), end user application support and basic LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
IT Security
1. Take ownership of our in-house SIEM product and manage its daily operation, including threat reviews / analysis / remediation.
2. Managing ongoing vulnerability analysis reviews and remediations.
3. Working with existing team members to ensure OS images are hardened in line with industry best practice.
4. Managing Microsoft 365 security score with existing team members.
5. Planning firewall rule updates to address newly identified threats.
IT Service Desk
1. Assisting the IT Service Desk team with the resolution of IT tickets – as required, across all areas of the Global IT operations.
2. Work with the IT Service Desk team to deliver end-user focused projects, including an ongoing Win11 rollout.
3. Assisting with other System Administrator duties as required.
IT Projects
1. Work with the Global IT team to successfully deliver IT projects.
The Candidate
We’re looking for an experienced IT professional, with 2-3 years’ experience across IT service desk operations / system administrator roles. Experience of delivering small-mid level IT projects would be helpful. Previous experience with (or a willingness to learn) IT security platforms such as Wazuh / MISP etc would be advantageous.
Ideally you will meet most of these requirements:
1. Minimum 2-3 years relevant IT support experience preferably gained in a dynamic business environment.
2. Excellent working knowledge of Windows platforms (Win 10 / Win).
3. Solid IT troubleshooting experience on Windows based desktops and laptops.
4. Good working knowledge of layer 2 networking.
5. Experience of supporting servers in a virtualised environment (Hyper-V and/or VMware).
6. Some experience of managing Microsoft 365 services is desirable.
7. Experience of utilising M365 tools including SharePoint / Lists / Forms etc would be desirable but not essential.
8. A 3rd level qualification in a relevant field would be desirable.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong technical and analytic capabilities.
10. A high attention to detail is critical, especially when recording and reporting information as this role is based in a highly regulated industry.
11. A good team player with a strong work ethic, yet capable of working on their own initiative given the opportunity.
12. Displays a sense of urgency with a proactive and innovative attitude.
13. Excellent all-round communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
1. 3rd level qualification (certificate, diploma, degree), in electronics engineering, computer science or a related discipline highly desired.
2. At least 2-3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
