Description of Post
The candidate should have expertise/knowledge in chemical engineering and materials science, focusing on green energy storage systems, including sustainability and renewable energy systems. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, overseeing lab work, contributing to curriculum development, and seeking additional funding. The role offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, especially in applied research on energy storage within renewable energy systems.
Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.
EssentialQualifications
Minimum
* An HonoursDegree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Chemical Engineering/Materials Science Level 8 degree[as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent.
* Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
Desirable
* A postgraduate qualification at PhD level.
* Experience of lecturing in a 3rd level environment in the areas of Materials Science, Renewable Energy Systems or Energy Storage.
* Actively engaged in conducting research.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in teams.
