The Project
The successful candidate will work on Murphy Water projects in the Midlands and North Leinster.
The Role
Murphy Water is hiring an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to commission and maintain Water and Wastewater projects across the country.
This opportunity allows you to join an established Contractor.
Key Responsibilities
* Onsite inspection and maintenance of PLC based electrical control systems and instrumentation
* Maintain and diagnose faults; mains power connections, power generators MCC's, transformers, motor starters VSDs & DOLs, electric actuators, instrumentation (Level Pressure, Flow & analytical)
* Electrical equipment onsite commissioning
* Coordinate with operations personnel to achieve compliance
* Fault diagnostics and modification to existing electrical control and automation systems
* Monitoring and optimisation of instrumentation, PLC's, and electrical control systems
* Preparation of technical specifications and supervision of sub-contractors
* Checking electrical and instrumentation control panel wiring schematics
You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical and instrumentation installations on projects assigned are installed in accordance with relevant standards.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the company procedures observing proper health and safety.
