About Your New Employer:
Sigmar Recruitment are working alongside a prestigious and one of Ireland's leading manufacturing companies of timber frame homes and roof structures.
Their clients range from private individuals to the most prestigious national building and construction companies.
Due to their continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Designer to join and lead our in-house design team in our Longford Office.
About Your New Role as a
Senior Designer:
The role will involve design, estimating, and administration.
We are seeking to have in place a senior figure who can operate as the second in charge, so people management is essential.
The applicant should have strong design experience in construction, timber frame, LGS, or modular as well as experience in managing and growing a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage design programmes in line with client contractual agreements.
Manage all technical aspects of the business, including internal and external queries.
Work closely with the estimating team to contribute technical knowledge and value engineering at the tender stage.
Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure all information for manufacture is in line with manufacturing requirements and improve processes where required.
Lead a team of in-house designers, setting targets and reporting on progress.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts across Ireland.
Liaise with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects.
Liaise with site teams regarding queries arising.
What Skills You Need:
Ideally several years of experience in Timber Frame or modular build design.
Proficient in AutoCAD software.
Knowledge of Digital Project Delivery principles.
Ability to develop drawings for new and existing projects.
Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings.
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Dependable and flexible.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Results-driven while participating in a team environment.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).Excellent attention to detail.
