About the Role
The Engineering Project Manager will report to the Group Engineering Manager and proactively manage the execution of engineering projects throughout the group, delivering them on time and within budget.
This involves providing on-site support to our Irish and UK sites when required. Key duties include:
* Manage and deliver various Engineering projects
* Work closely with stakeholders, keeping them updated on project progress and any issues arising
* Resolve engineering problems by collecting information, researching, analyzing, recommending solutions, preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams, evaluating components, materials, and suppliers, developing specifications and safety standards, evaluating new equipment and techniques, and overseeing installations
* Organise and coordinate internal teams and 3rd-party labor for project execution to a high standard, ensuring all parties adhere to the overall project plan throughout the project lifecycle
* Maintain project team accomplishments by communicating essential information, coordinating actions, obtaining expert input, reviewing open issues and action items, contributing information to team meetings and reports
* Work closely with sites in the group to implement projects quickly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to production
* Sourcing parts, liaising and negotiating with suppliers, following up on parts deliveries, and overseeing incoming parts
* Assisting with engineering budgeting and cost analysis
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Project Management experience
* Several years of industry experience in a similar role
* Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge of equipment and processes
* Previous experience in water treatment or automation (desirable but not essential)
* Ability to analyze situations and troubleshoot/problem solve as required
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* High level of technical ability
* Excellent attention to detail
* Competent in technology with good IT skills, Excel, and AutoCAD are essential
* Organisational skills, managing conflicting priorities
* Enthusiastic and flexible team player with high expectations of self and others
* Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
* Constantly striving to enhance and improve existing processes to add value
* Flexibility and adaptability to change
* Willingness to travel when required
