Assistant Store Manager Job Description
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for a busy retail chain in Ferbane, Offaly. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress to a store management level within 12 months.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively, providing customers with excellent customer service and a fresh food offering at all times in a clean and safe environment.
Duties:
* Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other KPIs agreed with the Store Manager.
* Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in-store.
* Support the Store Manager in developing and training the team and ensuring the smooth running of the store.
* Understand achieving margins in all departments.
* Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a management position.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Experience balancing cash/tills.
* Good delegation skills.
* An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets.
