Catalyst Media is seeking a dedicated company management accountant to join our growing team. This is a new role for the business, reporting to the Managing Director and sitting as part of a broader finance team. The Company Accountant will be responsible for guiding commercial decision-making through the accurate reporting of business results to the senior management team. You will manage the month-end reporting preparation and day-to-day management of a small finance function. Digital transformation is at the core of our operations and we are looking for an accountant with experience integrating accountancy software with other CRM and Events software. Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, providing meaningful commentary and analysis to aid in decision-making.
* Take responsibility for the complete accounts payable and receivable process, banking transactions, tax filings, and the preparation and reporting of profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
* Process monthly payroll and Employee Expense Reporting using Collsoft, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and financial standards.
* Ensure that effective financial internal controls are in place, in alignment with legal and financial requirements, to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity in financial reporting.
* Act as the primary point of contact with company auditors, banks, and revenue authorities, ensuring compliance and optimising financial operations.
* Liaise with managers, HR function, employees and any other third parties where necessary.
* Partake in other ad-hoc areas of the Business as and when required.
* Offer strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on thorough financial analysis.
* Monitor and report on budget variances, providing detailed explanations and actionable recommendations.

* Solid understanding of financial internal controls and compliance.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
* Experience in strategic financial planning, budget management, and variance analysis.
* Strong IT skills are desirable.
* Experience with Sage is desirable but not a necessity.
Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) or IATI Qualified.
* Minimum of 2 years experience post qualification.
