We have an opening for a Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Carton House.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute new menu concepts in collaboration with Senior Chefs.
* Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution and maintaining high standards.
* Maintain consistently high quality across all food areas.
* Contribute to training and coaching team members.
* Monitor team efficiency and review performance regularly.
* Enforce purchasing, receiving, and food storage policies.
* Understand departmental targets on food cost, payroll, and wastage.
The Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a senior chef in a similar setting (4-5 properties).
* Passion for cooking with fresh, local, seasonal, and quality ingredients.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* HACCP certification.
* 'Can-do' attitude towards training, development, and motivating the culinary team.
* Excellent attention to detail and consistency in producing high-quality food.
* Courteous and focused on providing excellent customer service.
* Able to multitask in fast-paced environments.
* Good command of the English Language.
* Excellent self-presentation.
