Key Responsibilities Oversee a diverse portfolio of audit and accounts engagements, ensuring high standards and timely completion of projects Review statutory financial statements and accounts files for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Review corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions Supervise junior staff, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development, including performance appraisals Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring exceptional client service and addressing any queries throughout the year Work with other departments to identify and meet client needs efficiently Monitor the profitability and recoverability of work in progress, ensuring monthly billable work targets are met Advance technical knowledge through reading, courses, and fulfilling the Institutes CPD requirements Assist in developing proposals for new business and participate in formal presentations to potential clients Provide ad hoc business consultancy services as required Uphold the firms code of ethics and business conduct Perform any other tasks as requested by the Director What Were Looking For ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced audit department or practice Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively In-depth technical knowledge, including UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS, and ISA standards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in client-facing interactions Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to drive improvements and changes within the practice Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise effectively High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of work A team player who embraces and contributes to the firms culture and values Why Join?
