Role: Shipping & Port Operations Coordinator (12 Mth FTC)
Location: Dublin City Center
Terms: Full-time, 12-Month Contract, 2 days hybrid available once training and evaluation is completed
Package: €35-38k
An experienced Shipping & Port Operations Coordinator is now required by a global shipping line based in Dublin City Center. This is a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave and will report directly to the Country Manager. You will join a small, experienced operations team that ensures vessels berth as per agreements, and that vessels move through UK ports as fast, efficiently and safely as possible.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Generate forecasts for feeder operators
* Send export feeder work orders to feeder operators
* Send export DGNs to feeder operators
* Liaise with feeder operators on cut-offs
* Update and maintain feeder cut-offs in FIS
* Liaise with Feeder Scheduling Team on maintenance of DPs/RVTs
* Adhoc maintenance of feeder schedule
* Actualise feeder schedule
* Send VGM reminders before feeder cut-offs
* Generate MRN list per feeder
* Liaise with Vessel Balancing on bookings to roll
* Monitor TSOPS inbox
* General troubleshooting on emails from GCC / UK team / vendors / customers
Minimum Requirements:
* Strong knowledge in Shipping / Port Operations
* Strong Microsoft Office Skills
* Ability to work well within a busy team
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to multi-task and work under strict time pressures
* Strong and clear communication skills (fluent English - written and oral)
* Ability to progress and resolve problems on own initiative
* High level of accuracy and numeracy
* Flexible in working hours as may be called to emergencies at short notice from time to time
* Ability to work unrestricted by local work permit or visa constraints
