The Role
This Commercial Finance Analyst role offers the opportunity to join a high-growth potential, publicly listed company headquartered in Dublin at an exciting stage of its evolution. The role offers broad experience and business exposure in supporting all aspects of the sales and commercial cycle, as well as the potential to work directly with the CFO on a variety of business projects, including business development opportunities, automation initiatives and investor relations projects. The role offers opportunities to ambitious candidates to grow and develop in the business over time.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Work with external suppliers and internal teams including sales, procurement, product, project management and account management to develop cost models and the margin analysis for proposals and quotations.
Prepare customer proposals and quotations.
Identify and mitigate all sales contract risks in collaboration with the CFO and legal representatives.
Proactively support the sales team on new business projects with financial and market analysis as well as presentation development.
Identify and execute opportunities to maximize revenues and improve margins with new and existing customers through thorough analysis and understanding of the financial and contractual terms of supplier and customer contracts.
Monitor and improve internal processes by identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems, including cross-functional integrations.
Support corporate development opportunities including evaluating new market opportunities and evaluating business development and collaboration initiatives.
Support capital markets and investor relations work including developing investor materials and supporting investor engagement.
Support other business projects including automation initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
Qualified Accountant with 1+ PQE
Advanced Excel experience (pivots, macros, vlookups)
Financial modelling experience is a distinct advantage
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to prepare commercial sales proposals and identify business opportunities
Exceptional attention to detail in developing pricing models and proposals; updating commercial contracts and modelling business development opportunities,
Flexible, ambitious and tenacious “can-do” attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-moving, global company with teams across multiple time zones.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate and build relationships with various stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
Location:
The role is Dublin-based with an expectation of at least 3 days in the office in Blackrock, County Dublin. There may be some international travel required but no more than 2-3 weeks per annum.
