Digital Cloud Security Engineer as a Service

Overview
Seeking a skilled technical professional or professionals who can fulfil the role of Digital Cloud Security Engineer under the current Framework Agreement that has been in place with the organisation. The selected person or persons will be expected to assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect digital cloud infrastructure. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of digital cloud assets and compliance with industry standards. We currently have a requirement for services to be delivered on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing for a minimum of 2 months or up until the end of the Framework Agreement term.
Requirements:
Framework Agreement Type 2 – Information Security Officer
Under the Framework Agreement that has in place with your organisation, this is a Type 2 – Information Security Officer as a Service assignment. This calls for a senior-level specialist capable of assisting in:
* Designing and helping to implement security solutions for Azure cloud environment.
* Architect and assist with the development of secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
* Assist in management and configuration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud, Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Entra Conditional Access and Azure Bastion.
* Assist in development of security policies, procedures, and documentation for digital cloud environment.
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security best practices and tools into the development lifecycle.
* Lead initiatives to enhance the overall security posture of digital work.
* Conduct cloud security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
* Provide security training and awareness programs to staff.
Core competencies – Information Security Officer
Some or all the following experience and competencies are required:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, with a strong understanding of Azure security best practices and architecture.
* Strong understanding of configuration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud, Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Entra Conditional Access and Azure Bastion.
* Experience with DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
* Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer) are a plus.
* Foundational understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM) principles and CyberArk.
Eligibility
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
