Ayrton Group are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our client on a commercial construction project in Dublin City.
This is an initial 6 month contract role with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance to Company and Client procedures/rules.
* Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
* Assisting in the management of subcontractors.
* Assisting in the initiation and organization of health and safety training of employees and executives.
* Inspecting premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
* Maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
* Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.
* Reviewing the SWP’s (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on site.
* Carrying out Inductions and Toolbox talks as required.
Key Requirements:
* 2+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
* Hold a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
* Experience in Construction required.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
