About this opportunity:
Are you a hardworking JavaScript Developer interested in working with CNOM? We are looking for you to join a team of engineers building scalable, highly available network management features for 5G networks. You will be working as part of a multi-functional team, developing full-stack features in an agile environment.
The Developer role at Ericsson is a multifaceted position encompassing a broad range of responsibilities, from requirement analysis and system design, through to product documentation and PLM support.
What you will do:
• Actively participate in the software development for CNOM products, both classic and Cloud Native.
• Working across both frontend and backend
• Deliver scalable, resilient, and performant product by taking full advantage of the evolving architecture and services inherent to a Cloud Native Platform.
• Strive for delivery of product and test code with all the advantages of a DevOps infrastructure.
• Develop Cloud Native Java Spring Boot microservices to process and transfer events/counters from multiple data sources.
• Ensure the high throughput of Core Network element data by improving performance of existing code.
• Design/Test/Review code to a high standard.
• Work with architects to design the best solutions to meet customer needs.
• Perform demos to customers when required.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues from customers.
• Prototype new ideas and innovations.
The skills you bring:
• Minimum 3+ years' experience as a software developer, with Solid skills in one of the following programming languages: Java, Go or Python
• A minimum 2.1 Honours Degree (QQI Level 8 or above) in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related programming-centric qualification.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Understand concepts like Docker containers, Kubernetes deployment, Helm charts and canary deployment.
• Experience on test automation
• Experience of Cloud-Native Development Pipeline principles and tools - CI/CD (DevOps), Jenkins, Spinnaker is an asset.
About our area - CNOM
CNOM is a lightweight, easy-to-use network management tool (Core Networks Operations Manager). It supports the deployment and operations of Core Network functions.
Core Network Operations Manager (CNOM) provides functionality to support operational use cases, including monitoring, health check, data collection and analysis, troubleshooting, and tracing. CNOM is a vital tool in the management of Core Networks and is used by a significant number of Ericsson customers to manager their core networks.
CNOM provides customer cost saving through ensuring shorter deployment time for network functions, faster troubleshooting and tracing, and superior ease-of-use for logging/alarms/performance data.
The real value of CNOM is the capability to provide the user access to the relevant data and present it in a usable format.
