Production Manager
Purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team Head of Operations, the Production Manager will oversee the overall management of their area and across all shifts in relation to manufacturing, filling, and projects.
The Production Manager will be part of the site's management team, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operational performance.
This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the Production and Manufacturing teams.
The manager will ensure accountability to meet commitments, develop talent, build skills, and allow people to grow and progress.
Responsibilities
* Strategy: Manage department supervisors and support staff to deliver best-in-class safety, quality, and production results.
* Quality Management: Ensure products are produced and stored according to appropriate documentation to obtain required quality.
* Record Evaluation: Evaluate and sign production records before sending them to the Quality Assurance Department.
* Financial Acumen: Develop and implement a manufacturing budget to interpret and apply understanding to key financial indicators.
* Cost Reduction: Continuously reduce manufacturing costs through the VIP programme, ensuring current and future budgeted costs are achieved.
Performance Metrics
* Targets: Meet Company and department targets by prioritizing tasks and managing area of responsibility.
* Interface Management: Interface with manufacturing operations management staff/customers to ensure quality commitments are met.
* Regulatory Compliance: Manage area of responsibility to ensure GMP and GPD requirements are met and adhered to.
* Health and Safety: Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety SOPs, equipment, policies, and procedures.
Development
* Talent Development: Ambitiously lead and motivate direct reports to embed a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing throughout the organisation.
* Relationship Management: Manage inter-department & inter-functional relationships and optimize resources.
* Training and Development: Develop time to feedback, adapt learning, and create development plans for team members.
Qualifications
3rd level qualification, preferably in an engineering discipline. Strong leadership and people management skills, clear understanding of systems, functionality, financial and budget reporting.
Innovative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset, excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to review policy & procedural requirements.
Quality/Regulatory/Compliance/Supply Chain experience including audit readiness and stakeholder engagement.
