As an Applications Support Engineer you will be responsible for supporting our customer base by delivering upgrades, improvements and other services related to their DeltaV DCS/SIS which ensure the operational and maintenance needs of our customers are met or exceeded. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Product Knowledge - have an excellent solid understanding of DeltaV DCS including configuration/graphics and setup, the Windows platform on which it is deployed and its associated PlantWeb technologies such as Backup and Recovery, Automated Patch Management, etc.;
2. Project Execution - be responsible for managing and delivering solutions for our customers, including requirements, quotation, engineering, commissioning and ongoing site support;
3. Customer Support - assist customers in the resolution of Emerson product service and application issues, where vital initiate and coordinate support from the Emerson Global Support Centre;
4. Sales Support - assist in the demonstration of Emerson products to potential customers and to provide guidance in product application and after sales service;
5. Proactively identify Service/Product opportunities and assist in their pursuit;
6. Assist in preparation of support literature for Sales opportunities;
7. Field Service - assist with LTSA contract activities (Maintenance, DVSAS, health checks, etc.).

For This Role, You Will Need:
1. NC/Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent preferred;
2. Knowledge of products within the DeltaV portfolio, or equivalents in another DCS.
3. Experience in DeltaV configuration and graphic modifications;
4. Experience with protocol interfaces i.e. OPC, Modbus, Profibus;
5. Proven experience with DeltaV upgrades
6. Experience of working on site
7. Ability to travel within Europe for Factory Acceptance Tests
8. Valid driving license (for customer site visits)
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
1. Self-motivated, proactive and able to manage own time;
2. Windows OS and networking knowledge, with Virtualisation being an advantage;
3. Experience in authoring and reviewing project documentation;
4. Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with customers;
