Industrial Cost Controller Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Industrial Cost Controller position.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time role. The role is based in our busy finance team at our Wexford factory in Ireland and reports to the Head of Finance.
Role Responsibilities
* The mission of this role is to be responsible for the control, reporting, forecasting, and analysis of industrial costs and material losses for the Wexford supply point.
* Acting as a business partner to the production team, you will help increase understanding and awareness of industrial costs, forecast accurately, and identify potential cost-saving/productivity opportunities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* This role is the key SPOC responsible for monthly reviews with departments for departmental budgets and supporting in forecasting and annual budget exercises.
* Preparation and review of month-end accounts for all overhead and operational cost lines in the profit and loss statement, including accrual journal preparation, monthly cost review vs forecast, and analysis and explanation to the Head of Finance, DBS finance team, and operations team.
* Manager deliverable by Junior Business Controller on Productivity & Material Efficiency.
* Production and circulation of monthly material losses reports to operations and digital & IT partners with required interaction and analysis to ensure understanding and provide challenge.
* Input into rolling forecast process for industrial costs and material losses with clear visibility and understanding of cost forecasts, including risk and opportunities.
* Facilitation, coordination, and analysis (together with Performance team) of productivity initiatives.
* Lead facilitation and organization of internal control and financial audits as well as annual Vestalis risk assessment.
* Support Internal Control team for onsite DANgo analysis.
* Continuous improvement of material losses reporting, analysis, and efficiency of processes.
* Provide efficient and accurate monthly group reporting in required format.

Education and Professional Experience
* Qualified accountant - ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA qualified.
* Minimum of 3-5 years' PQE.
* Must be numerate, analytical, and have good oral & written communication skills.
* Hands-on experience of modern integrated ERP systems and proficient in the use of Excel.
* Ability to work on own initiative and within cross-functional groups.
