About the Role
SK biotek Ireland is seeking to recruit an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure Specialist to join the IT Department reporting to the IT Manager on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day activities to support and monitor the operation of the Site Information and Communication systems infrastructure.
* Work with Managed Service Partners, Vendors and site stakeholders to manage Lifecycle of Site IT Infrastructure, to ensure infrastructure remains reliable and fit for purpose in supporting site operations.
* Provide support for planning and co-ordination of planned equipment refreshes/replacement as required.
* Act as site point of contact and hands and eyes for initial troubleshooting of issues with the remote Support teams of our 3rd Party Service Partners for Server Hosting, Network and Print Services.
* Manage site IT cabling, patching and wall port infrastructure (Fibre, LAN).
* Engage and liaise with 3rd Party vendors for diagnostics, repairs, installation of new cables, wall ports/panels etc.
* Monitor and support site communications systems, triage issues and liaise with Support Vendors as necessary to resolve.
* Monitor System Backups (notified via Email from Backup system).
Requirements
* A degree level qualification in a relevant IT, engineering or similar technical discipline.
* A minimum of 3 years experience of IT system support.
* Experience of working in a GMP regulated environment is desirable.
* A good working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, Server Virtualisation and communication systems is expected.
