Job Summary:
The Automation Maintenance Engineer role is a key position within our Renewable Energy Business Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Automation Maintenance function to achieve maximum plant availability, efficiency, and safe systems of work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, economically, and within environmental limits.
* Carry out maintenance functions under site-specific safety rules.
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments for specific tasks.
* Record Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks into the maintenance management system.
* Modify Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) automation systems as required.
* Assist in compliance with NIS2 directive.
* Maintain adequate stocks of strategic spares.
* Install new instruments and carry out modifications to DCS or other plant control SCADA systems.
* Review and order spare parts as required.
Requirements:
* Third-level engineering qualification.
* A minimum of 3-4 years experience in a similar role.
* Experience in maintenance of heavy process industry or power plants.
* Excellent IT skills, with strong knowledge of Maintenance Management systems.
* Ability to manage a small team of technicians.
