Group Treasury Accountant - Multinational (Hybrid) (DYP79O-14700217) Dublin South, Republic of Ireland

A multinational PLC in South Dublin (hybrid) is looking to hire a Group and Treasury Accountant to join their team in the new year. This is a varied role where there will be a focus on month-end reporting, contributing to quarterly board reports and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities of the Group and Treasury Accountant
* Prepare monthly management and annual statutory accounts for a number of Treasury entities
* Preparation of control reports and timely investigation and elimination of any differences
* Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for a number of Treasury entities
* Analyse and report net borrowing positions, interest and currency results on a monthly basis
* Compile, analyse and interpret cash, debt and lease data received from Group companies
* Assist in the preparation and review of the relevant Treasury sections of the board report and press release
* Preparation of relevant Treasury notes under US GAAP on a quarterly basis
* Support the work of Tax team re compliance and project work
* VAT returns on a bi-monthly, quarterly and annual basis
* Liaise with external auditors in relation to hard close & year-end reports
* Maintain a very strong control environment under Sarbanes-Oxley Act
* To carry out ad hoc tasks when they arise
Key requirements of the Group and Treasury Accountant
* Qualified accountant
* Strong financial accounting background, IFRS (in particular IFRS 9) and US GAAP is also desired
* SAP and HFM knowledge, or hands-on experience of similar robust ERP systems
* Experience in Treasury operations or Treasury accounting environment, preferably in Corporate Treasury either by working in such environment or auditing it
* Treasury instruments knowledge e.g. FX forwards, interest rate swaps and cross currency interest rate swaps, including valuations and accounting implications
* Strong financial and analytical skills
* Ability to analyse large volumes of data, understand the drivers behind any moves and present it in a way that aids review
* Highly motivated, proactive team player
