Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team, with a strong background in commercial and electrical projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Tier 1 & 2 Contractors & OEM's on electromechanical projects from tender handover to Integrated System Testing (IST).
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination: Manage and oversee electromechanical projects from tender handover to IST. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with the sales team to ensure alignment with client requirements and sales objectives.
Client Management:
Coordinate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors to ensure project milestones are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for client throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure client satisfaction by managing expectations and addressing any concerns promptly. Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Budget Management:
Monitor project budgets, manage resources for project, track expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
Identify and mitigate any financial risks i.e.
labour costs, material costs. Review costings of changes and material change costs if there are any changes to original quotes.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure that all modular units meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Risk Management :
Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Strong background in electrical work and experience with modular projects.
Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in project management, specifically in industrial and electrical projects.
Proven experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and OEM's Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and power distribution.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, PMP, PRINCE2, Primavera).
Desirable:
Experience with power distribution projects.
PMP or other relevant project management certification.
