Buyer Planner
Responsible for managing the planning and purchasing function in a multinational company based in Sligo.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
* Oversee the Purchasing function to guarantee material supply aligns with plant production schedules.
* Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to coordinate purchasing processes.
* Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Item Master data accuracy.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the distribution centre and manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) interactions.
* Develop scenario plans to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
* Coordinate materials aspects for NPI projects.
* Work with Supply Chain members to achieve target performance on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Implement effective inventory management and control strategies.
* Liaise with transportation companies to schedule deliveries within warehouse capacity constraints.
* Lead project implementation efforts to meet specific goals.
* Ensure purchased materials support production needs while adhering to the organisation's Code of Business and applicable laws.
* Purchase non-inventory items required for plant operation at lowest total cost of ownership levels.
* Maintain compliance with Environmental Health & Safety standards and adhere to relevant EHS regulations and procedures.
Requirements:
* Certificate/Diploma/Degree in a related discipline, or IPICS / IIPMM qualification. Appropriate certification in Purchasing/Production Planning, such as Diploma in Purchasing or APICS examinations.
* At least two years' experience in supply chain/production planning.
* High-level expertise in solving scheduling, logistics, expediting, and purchasing problems.
