Job Description Our Business Outsourcing Services (BOS) is seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Reporting team in Dublin.
The role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and statutory financial statements.
You will also gain exposure to other areas of BOS such as Company Secretarial and taxation reporting including filings with the Company Registration Office and preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.
There is the possibility of ACCA/ACA support in the role for the right candidate.
As Financial Reporting Assistant, your responsibilities will include among others Prepare annual financial statements including statutory accounts under IFRS and FRS 102 accounting standards, partnership accounts, sole trader accounts and trust accounts for tax purposes.
Assist with the delivery of financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients within agreed timelines and service level quality requirements.
Visit client premises to undertake on-site accounting needs as required.
Prepare and input client transactions into a computerised ledger system, prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts for clients, monthly/quarterly/annual VAT returns from financial information supplied by client and prepare Intrastat and VIES sales lists for clients.
Where applicable, completion of other tax services including attending to tax registrations, de-registrations etc and company secretarial activities including statutory filings.
Keeping your manager fully informed of any challenges arising and creating solutions to issues encountered, ensuring the work is completed to a level agreed with the manager and recording clearly and concisely the work carried out.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should Studying towards ACCA/ACA qualification or, alternatively, evidence of suitable work experience.
Prior experience of computerised accounting packages including cloud-based software is desirable.
Ability to work independently whilst collaborating with the wider team.
Results orientated to meet and exceed client expectations, with a key focus on delivering high quality work that consistently meets internal and/or external client deadlines.
Develop your understanding of accounting standards.
Monitoring costs against budget for individual clients.
