Role Summary:
We are looking to recruit a Newly Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant for a permanent role. Reporting to our Head of Finance and Business Insights, some of your duties will include: processing weekly payroll, managing our banking (reconciliations & transfers), posting store financial reports, reviewing cash compliance with store and loss prevention teams and taking an active role in month end process and reporting.
Role Responsibilities:
* Process weekly payroll for ROI and NI team members
* Work with store teams on joiners and leavers
* Act as key point of contact for store teams on payroll queries
* Daily banking reviews
* Weekly bank reconciliations for all ROI & NI bank accounts
* Daily posting of store financial statements and querying of cash overs/under variances to ledger
* Monthly reconciliation of cash held in our stores
* Cash compliance reviews with Store Managers and Loss Prevention team
* Work closely with the e-Commerce Customer Care team on payment queries
* Assisting with balance sheet maintenance including monthly reconciliation of multiple ROI & NI control accounts
* Company credit card administration and posting
* Supporting accounts payable team processing invoices, reconciling creditors accounts, and preparing payments
* Providing support and cover to the financial team members as required
* Proactively drive improvements of processes
* Supporting any other ad-hoc tasks that may arise
Key Requirements:
* Two years previous experience in a similar finance role
* Experience of payroll or accounts payable
* Experience of Microsoft D365 an advantage
* Experience in Microsoft Office Suite in particular strong excel skills
