Our client a leading company specialising in providing high-quality solutions within the engineering sector is lookingfor a Financial Accountant to cover a 12-month Maternity Contract with the possibility of an extension.
This ideal accountant for this role has experience with audits, manufacturing, and project costing.
Reporting directly to the CFO you will play a key part in the ongoing development of financial processes and digitalisation projects.
The role is fully onsite in Athboy Co Meath, with flexible start times from 7.30am.
You will need your own transport to get to office.
Key Responsibilities of Financial Accountant: Prepare accurate, consolidated monthly financial statements Lead project and revenue accounting processes, ensuring compliance and clarity Manage the nominal ledger, including intercompany reconciliations Produce detailed factory utilisation and performance reports Maintain and oversee the Fixed Asset Register Ensure timely submission of VAT, Corporation Tax, and other statutory filings Collaborate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and banking partners Coordinate audit deliverables and support the annual financial audit process Mentor Finance team members and drive process improvements Ideal experience of Financial accountant: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), with 3+ years post-qualification experience in a medium to large organisation Solid experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, Net Suite preferred) Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities Excellent attention to detail, discretion, and commitment to data integrity Self-motivated and proactive, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Benefits: Highly competitive salary and Bonus structure Flexible start and finish times 21-day Annual Leave Subsidised Canteen For more information or a confidential discussion about thisrole contact Michelle Mileyat email atmichelle.mile Skills: 'Financial Accountant' Audit Manufacturing Project Cost Analysis ACCA
