Job Title: IT Manager
The IT Manager oversees the team and related delivery activities for local systems. For non-local systems, this role interacts with business units and IT to deliver Abbott solutions and ensure value is achieved from outsourced relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a local PBR team, including budget responsibility (site-dependent).
* Partner with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs).
* Provide oversight of business requirements.
* Collaborate with enterprise strategy on domain direction.
* Leverage strengths from all project teams, Abbott and provider alike.
* Manage program-level risks and issues.
* Lead decision-making, planning, and execution of IT initiatives.
* Ensure delivery of Local IT Solutions.
Local System Support:
* Accountable for end-to-end support.
* Report regularly on performance.
* Monitor service level infractions.
* Develop new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics, as needed.
* Work across stakeholders to gain agreement on new SLAs and/or metrics.
Non-Local System Responsibilities:
* BSS Run is accountable for end-to-end support.
* Coordinate with Business Solutions and Service (BSS) Run on support activities and critical incident communications.
* Harmonize and motivate team members.
Requirements:
* Degree in IT and/or a complementary business degree, or equivalent experience.
* At least 5-7 years of experience in IT, preferably in the healthcare industry.
* Prior management experience.
* Problem determination and resolution skills.
* Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of business environments, service requirements, and culture.
* Process skills, including an understanding of process costs.
* Ability to accomplish results through others.
Core Job Responsibilities:
* Execute local projects through providers.
* Manage in-queue requests (Work Intake) lifecycle.
* Track status of requests.
* Provide regular feedback on status to request initiators (BRMs).
* Obtain approval of all project-related deliverables.
* Review project demand for solutions and projects across respective domains.
* Evaluate risk and communicate effectively.
* Plan, execute, and evaluate work to time, cost, and quality targets.
* Assess and evaluate risk.
* Communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership.
* Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders.
