Our current hiring drive seeks an experienced Design Lead to join our expanding project team and contribute to the successful delivery of data centre projects across Ireland and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design Deliverables: Ensure the design team provides drawings and documents that meet the design brief and deliverables using technical building expertise.
* Liaison with Design Team: Collaborate with the Design Manager/Project Engineer Manager to complete project designs and ensure all quoted requirements are included.
* Specifications and Documents: Review specifications and documents to guarantee timely delivery of design requirements while proposing cost-effective products and solutions.
* Quality Checking: Inspect and quality check design drawings, documents, and procurement schedules before issuance.
* Reporting and Liaison: Report directly to supervisors/team leaders to ensure deadlines are met, project details are produced accurately, and efficiently, liaise with project management teams for document updates.
* Handover Documentation: Compile and issue handover documentation as required.
* Procurement Support: Provide information and bills of materials to the procurement department for material ordering.
* Site Visits: Visit sites to troubleshoot issues, ensure constructability, and record survey information.
* Client Communication: Liaise with clients and stakeholders for smooth handovers of design packages.
* Technical Deliverables: Produce technically sound architectural deliverables (drawings, specifications, schedules) using Revit, adhering to project standards and schedules.
* Standards and Solutions: Ensure all design work conforms to standards and is buildable, contributing to the development of architectural standards and solutions.
* Resource Planning: Plan resources ahead of schedule and contribute to project kick-off processes where possible.
Key Person Requirements Specification:
* Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients.
* Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
* Organisation: Organised with high attention to detail.
* Software Knowledge: Knowledge of design software, including Revit and Navisworks.
* Task Management: Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and prioritising deadlines using own initiative.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
