Our client, a major player within construction, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Management Accountant to join their team for a newly created role. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital support to the Operations Director, CFO, and Accounts Team. This role is based in Dublin North (hybrid) and salary is in the €65,000 - €75,000 range plus benefits.
As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our client's operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with various departments and senior management, providing them with crucial financial information. You will be entrusted with managing the integrity of accounting software while also contributing to its future development. Your role will extend into preparing monthly management accounts and compiling reports that will guide decision-making at the highest level. Furthermore, you will ensure Revenue compliance across all business aspects, facilitate annual audits, and provide support on specific construction finance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with all departments and senior management to disseminate financial information
* Manage and maintain the integrity of accounting software, contributing to its future development
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and compile monthly reports for the senior management team
* Contribute to the development and management of financial systems/policies
* Analyse costs and revenues, ensuring the integrity of financial information
* Ensure Revenue compliance across all aspects of the business including prem taxes, VAT, RCT
* Contribute to the facilitation of the annual audit
* Develop expertise and provide support relating to specific construction finance issues
* Support the payroll function
What You Bring:
* 3 to 5 years accountancy experience, ideally within the construction sector
* Professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA
* Proficiency in IT (MS Excel, Accounting Software)
* Strong organisational skills including the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Team player being able to take direction but ability to work on own initiative where appropriate
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
