Job Description
The HR Consultant / Advisor acts as a consultant to managers and individual contributors providing HR guidance to relevant internal client groups. This role focuses on day-to-day risk mitigation and provides guidance on the application of HR policies and programs.
Main Responsibilities:
* Consults with managers on employment-related situations and partners with them on change initiatives with people impacts.
* Provides guidance and leadership to managers and partners on dispute resolution, disciplinary action, regulatory compliance, problem solving, redundancy and litigation avoidance.
* Acts as a liaison between managers, HR Business Partners, and other HR functions to ensure coordinated efforts in line with internal client needs.
* SUPPORTS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF HR PROGRAMS (CAREER PLANNING, PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, ETC.) AND COACHES MANAGERS IN SUPPORTING A CULTURE COMMITTED TO EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT, DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH.
* Maintains an awareness of, and partners with Talent Acquisition to help achieve a high quality, diverse talent pipeline.
Requirements:
* Experience in consulting, business partnering or employee relations
* Solid understanding of risk associated with employment law
* Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees and management at all levels
* Experience working with clients in multiple jurisdictions advantageous
* Exceptional ability to organize and execute responsibilities
