Our client, a global medical device company, is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to help them achieve their ambitious goals.
This permanent position can be based anywhere in Ireland or the UK. There will be an initial requirement to be in the Dublin office for 2-3 days a week during the training period, with the option to work fully remote thereafter.
This exciting role is sales-focused, dealing directly with distributors across Europe and globally. There would be 25% international travel and a need for flexibility to adapt to clients and teams across time zones.
Responsibilities of Sales Account Manager:
1. Develop and manage relationships with distributors and key accounts. Ensure satisfaction, meet sales targets, and engage in regular reviews and updates.
2. Implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and consistently exceed targets.
3. Deal Negotiation: Lead sales opportunities from initiation to closure, negotiating and finalizing agreements.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to assist customers with tendering processes, ensuring seamless execution.
5. Monitor account activity and provide detailed monthly status updates to management.
6. Act as a trusted advisor, delivering product demonstrations, addressing customer needs, and devising tailored solutions.
7. Relay client and user insights to Product Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to enhance offerings and customer experience.
8. Conduct bi-weekly analyses of market trends, competitors, and opportunities, recommending improvements to maintain competitiveness.
9. Attend industry conferences and events to expand networks and stay updated on market developments.
10. Work closely with the Marketing team to execute promotional strategies for products and services.
11. Stay informed on the latest medical research to facilitate meaningful discussions with clients.
12. Explore new opportunities in Middle East markets to drive growth.
Ideal Qualifications/Skills of Sales Account Manager:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years in sales, ideally in a regulatory or life sciences industry. Experience in the Gastroenterology market is a plus.
3. Demonstrable achievements in sales over the past three years.
4. Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
5. Exceptional interpersonal, relationship management, and presentation skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
7. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 25% of the time).
