Our broad line of vascular devices manufactured in Clonmel includes vessel closure, endovascular, and coronary technologies – designed to treat heart attack, stroke, critical limb ischemia, and other serious vascular conditions.
Your Role
We are seeking an experienced automation engineer to join our team in Clonmel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful automation projects in the medical device industry.
* Design and develop automation systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
* Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed automation solutions.
* Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment and software.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Provide training and support to end-users on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
* Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance procedures, and project reports.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and industry trends.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in automation engineering.
* Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
* Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
