Red D are recruiting a Payroll and Accounts Administrator Private School (Part-Time, 20 hours per week) This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll and accounts professional to join a well-respected private school. The Role We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused individual to take responsibility for all matters relating to payroll while assisting with other finance and administrative duties. This position reports directly to the finance manager and requires someone who can manage multiple priorities efficiently. Key Responsibilities Payroll Duties Process weekly payroll for a small number of staff and monthly payroll for approximately 100 employees. Ensure full PAYE/PRSI compliance and liaise with the Revenue Commissioner and Department of Social Welfare as required. Prepare files and returns for the Revenue Commissioners each month. Manage and resolve employee payroll queries. Prepare payroll files for bank payments via electronic funds transfer. Maintain salary control accounts at month-end and assist in year-end financial audits. Prepare and manage payroll budgets. Administrative Duties Provide administrative support to the director of finance, including diary management and scheduling meetings. Maintain absence records for privately paid teaching and non-teaching staff. Assist with Garda vetting procedures. Help prepare documentation for interviews and leadership team reports on expenditure. Maintain office systems, including data management and filing. Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed. What Were Looking For 35 years experience using SAGE Payroll (Micropay Professional). Strong knowledge of PAYE, PRSI, employment law, and employee entitlements. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and confidentiality. A confident and professional communicator, capable of working independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage deadlines and perform under pressure.
