The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximise hotel revenue and market share. This role involves creating marketing campaigns, managing sales activities, and building strong relationships with clients to drive occupancy and revenue growth.
About The Plaza Hotel
Welcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin with 122 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conference facilities & excellent cuisine.
Over the last 2 years, the entire interior of the 4-star hotel has been extensively refurbished, now comprising of exciting new eateries. The hotel now offers 122 spacious, comfortable and ensuite bedrooms along with a number of large suites. Two large and naturally lit event spaces, together with 4 meeting suites allow for conferences and events of all sizes, ranging from 5-200 people.
Responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue goals.
2. Identify new business opportunities through corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event organizers.
3. Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
4. Conduct site inspections, sales calls, and participate in trade shows and networking events.
5. Negotiate contracts and close sales deals with potential clients.
Marketing Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement effective marketing campaigns for the hotel.
2. Oversee digital marketing strategies, including social media campaigns.
3. Develop promotional materials, advertisements, and special offers.
4. Collaborate with the revenue & reservations management team to optimise pricing strategies and promotional packages.
5. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies accordingly.
Leadership & Collaboration:
1. Work closely with the General Manager and other department heads to align sales and marketing strategies with overall hotel goals.
2. Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team, providing training and professional development.
3. Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, market analysis, and ROI for campaigns.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing (3-5 years preferred).
3. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in hotel software and digital marketing tools.
5. Ability to analyse market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
6. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
