Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist
We are seeking a Senior Level Geotechnical / Engineering Geologist to join our team in Naas, Ireland and work on a range of mining related projects, typically the design, monitoring and assessment of water and tailings dams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work on large dam project portfolio, designing practical solutions for challenging conditions.
* Develop practical solutions based on detailed assessments and analyses and defend your solutions to clients and third-party review panels.
* Manage and lead projects including technical specifications, drawings and design reports and tender packages for major tailings dams, mine waste facilities, containment facilities and mine infrastructure projects.
* Provide input and prepare conceptual to detailed engineering designs, engineering studies, feasibility studies and condition assessments.
* Work closely with clients from concept design through to construction, commissioning and operational stages of the project lifecycle.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships and continually develop and grow the business.
Requirements:
* Registered or eligible to register as a Chartered Engineer in Ireland / UK.
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience, or Master's Degree / PhD in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering / Soil Mechanics / Engineering Geology with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
* Strong background in soil mechanics, including proficiency with field and laboratory testing methods.
* Experience with mine tailings facility design, geotechnical numerical modeling, critical state theory and/or seismic hazard analysis.
* Strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence.
* Demonstrated leadership, project management, decision-making and coaching skills.
* Superior verbal and written communication skills.
