Location: Dublin, DublinType: PermanentThis large, international ecommerce company is expanding their Dublin office, and now requires a Customer Insights & Pricing Manager to join a dynamic team of ecommerce professionals across Europe.
Please note applicants must come from a Direct-to-Consumer retailer or ecommerce business, and be used to dealing with large datasets. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and requires someone with the maturity and confidence to engage in dialogue (and disagreement, when necessary!)
with senior level executives.
SUMMARYThe Customer Insights and Pricing Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and optimizing customer experiences, with a specific focus on pricing strategies.
You will lead initiatives to refine pricing models, enhance profitability, and improve customer engagement.
This role will require a deep understanding of pricing dynamics and customer behaviour, as well as the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership with data-driven insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPricing Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies that maximize profitability.Customer Insights and Pricing: Build, refine, and maintain models to understand customer behaviour and product economics.Collaboration: Work with several teams, including Marketing, CRM, Product, Technology, and Analytics, to ensure cohesion.CRM Team Collaboration: Ensure the customer base is segmented to enable engagement strategies, pricing updates, improved conversion, and other lifecycle management.Performance Tracking and Reporting: Oversee the development and maintenance of reporting to monitor pricing performance, product profitability, and customer satisfaction.Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand competitive positioning and inform models and recommendations.Data Strategy and Management: Provide requirements to the data team to ensure all necessary data for analysis is suitably structured and accessible.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:Minimum of 5 years' experience in analytics, including 3 years focused on pricing strategy, ideally with consumer products or experiences.
E-commerce experience is an advantage.Experience working in cross-functional teams including marketing and technology preferred.Self-motivated and willing to get involved across a range of areas to make the product a success.Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in building and refining financial models, with a strong understanding of pricing dynamics, customer segmentation, and revenue optimization.Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in SQL and advanced data technologies, with experience in Power BI or similar tools.
Proficiency in Python or R for advanced modelling is a strong advantage.Proactive: Excited to dig into the data to make proactive recommendations on opportunities for growth.Strong business acumen and excellent ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, simple, and actionable stories.A team player that is passionate about data with strong attention to detail and quality.Able to promote ideas/solutions with confidence, credibility, and sound business rationale.Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and meeting multiple deadlines.
Excellent time management skills.Likely to be Degree educated with a qualification in Science, Economics, Data, Accounting, Mathematics, or similar numerical/analytical qualification.It is essential that candidates are highly experienced with SQL and have the ability to query and combine large and complex sets of data quickly, efficiently, and reliably.Strong visualisation skills - best practices, compelling presentation, and storytelling.It would be of distinct advantage if you had Power BI, Python or similar tools.TO APPLY:Please only apply if you are based in Ireland, or have plans to move here shortly.
This is a hybrid role (2 days in the office, 3 days from home) and the highly collaborative nature of this position means we cannot consider applicants who are not available to work from Dublin City Centre 2 days per week.
