Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)
Our client forms part of a global enterprise and is a specialist manufacturer with more than 50 years of excellence within their field.
As a skilled maintenance engineer (electrical bias) working in a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and testing of all mechanical equipment and all electrical/electronic, instrumentation, and control equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, maintain, repair, and test mechanical equipment and electrical/electronic, instrumentation, and control equipment in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and company engineering and safety instructions.
* Assist the engineering team to achieve objectives.
* Order parts, services, and consumables, and maintain adequate stock levels in stores.
* Liaise with other departments, particularly by informing the Production Supervisor/Team Leader of the intention to start work in each area and keeping the Production Supervisor/Team Leader aware of the status of any job.
* Report faults on equipment to the Maintenance and Production Supervisors.
* Keep the area associated with your activities clean and tidy and help sustain/implement the 5 S strategy.

Requirements:
* Experience in the maintenance of process equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Time served engineering apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* GCSE Mathematics Grade C or above.
* Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills, especially accurate measuring skills.
* IT Literate.
* Ability to work independently on own initiative.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
* Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holiday periods, and call-outs as and when required.
* Fluent English speaker.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the chemical industry.
* Knowledge and experience of refrigeration systems and/or steam systems and/or PLC control systems.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to working with equipment, particularly permit to work procedures.
* A forklift licence is desirable; however, training can be provided to achieve this.
What We Offer:
This role offers a strong salary package of up to £40,000 for working across a days-only, Monday-Friday pattern.
