Quantity Surveyors - Construction Contractor - Limerick Office/Project Location : Limerick Employment Type: Permanent Work Location: Office / Site Pay: €45K-€80K Experience: 2+years Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required Our client is a leading Irish building contractor working on a broad range of buildings projects in the healthcare, education, industry, construction and leisure industries They are seeking to appoint Quantity Surveyors at all levels of experience to work on projects in Dublin, Limerick & Galway.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate capability and experience in dealing with challenging projects.
Advise and report regularly to Commercial Manager Advise on contractual matters – general and project level Identify contract grounds for claim Commercial and QS support & Advise on appointing project staff (commercial) Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost Assist project cash management Advise and support with project correspondence Negotiate and agree subcontractors Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner Identify and investigate losses Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost Timely drafting commercial/contractual correspondence Negotiating subcontract and suppliers' prices and terms Prepare subcontract and suppliers documents Prepare and review monthly cost reports Ensure risk registers, variation trackers and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports Negotiating subcontractors and suppliers final accounts Requirements Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management 2+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects Ability to work on large scale, high headcount construction sites & sub-contractors experience .
Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives while on site including attendance at meetings Strong time management skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
