The Indirect Tax team is based in Workday’s Dublin office and has created a new role, Associate Indirect Tax Manager.About the RoleThis is a new role in the team due to the growth of Workday and the ever-growing complex indirect tax obligations. The role is to provide specialist indirect tax technical advice to both the tax team and other business partners. The successful candidate will also work on multiple projects in terms of process improvement to ensure that Workday meets global indirect tax requirements. The role will also drive change within Workday by identifying potential refund/cash flow savings and build robust compliance processes. The ideal candidate is an indirect tax specialist who is a great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced tax team. ResponsibilitiesProvide indirect tax technical advice and guidance to the entire tax team.Work closely with the Global Indirect Tax Director on providing indirect tax advice to cross functional teams.Provide practical indirect tax guidance on various projects within the tax team and to other business partners. Be a key indirect tax point of contact for various business partners and build/maintain relationships with business stakeholders.Work with the Senior Indirect Tax Managers on process improvement projects and compliance projects.Monitor the changing indirect tax landscape in terms of indirect tax requirements and ensure impact to Workday is clarified.Identify any refund/cash flow saving opportunities and implement such.Review and approve indirect tax filings and/or reconciliations as necessary.Support with Tax Authority queries and/or audits; and Liaise with internal Workday IT teams on projects/queries as they arise.About YouBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or similarCTA/ACCA qualified7+ years’ experience gained in an international indirect tax environmentOther QualificationsExpert knowledge of indirect tax law ( VAT, GST, etc).Solid understanding of accounting and its implications on Indirect Tax.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills demonstrating the ability to synthesize complex topics and data into clear and concise actionable insights.Excellent computer literacy skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Motivated self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results.Ability to understand the business beyond finance, and strong ability to think strategically.Capacity to learn new concepts and technology quickly.Flexibility to work across different time zones when required.Ability to manage varied tasks and prioritise workload.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and in a team.Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
