Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Cluster Security Manager to manage the physical security at our data centers.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage the on-site operational physical security of our Data Centers, including access control systems, guard force management, contract management, vendor management, risk assessment & management, reporting security metrics, security audits, and incident reporting.
2. Understand and maintain compliance requirements with standards such as SOC1, SOC2, and ISO27001.
3. Implement new processes and adhere to existing Amazon policy and procedure relating to security guarding, media security, CCTV monitoring, and the protection of customer data.
4. Work closely with other Amazon teams to deliver tight project schedules on time and within budget.
5. Communicate status updates and ensure adherence to tight schedules and deadlines.
6. Build relationships with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance security and safety.
7. Coordinate physical security services, investigations, risk/threat assessments, and supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives.
8. Manage daily operations of the vendors providing services, training, and risk assessment; conduct investigations of Code of Conduct and other violations as needed.
9. Collaborate with teams within and outside Amazon as they relate to daily operations.
10. Develop security plans for on-site special events and unique security situations.
11. Perform data analysis and create benchmarking to support risk assessments and threat identification.
12. Partner with Data Center Operations and other Amazon business units to identify safety and security deficiencies and develop customized procedures to gain compliance with regulations.
13. Work with peers in other geographic regions and travel as required by Amazon.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A minimum of 10 years of security operations experience.
2. At least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. At least 2 years of experience in corporate or infrastructure security.
4. BA/BS or higher degree and/or security certification (e.g., CPP, PSP, CSMP).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience as a Security Manager for Physical Security for large, complex installations.
2. Excellent teamwork skills, results-oriented, high energy, and self-motivated.
3. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, risk management, planning, and auditing.
4. Experience managing current security technology including access control and CCTV.
