Job Title: Chartered Structural Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Chartered Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in structural steel design for industrial and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop structural steel frames, ensuring all designs meet regulatory standards and customer specifications.
* Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety, stability, and integrity.
* Review, certify, and optimize structural designs and provide technical solutions for complex challenges in steel construction.
* Interface directly with clients to define project requirements, provide technical advice, and assist in the development of project proposals.
* Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize project outcomes without compromising quality.
* Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and design consultants to ensure design requirements are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStruct E) or Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE)
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in structural steel design for industrial and commercial buildings
* Proficiency with structural design software such as STAAD, Tekla, and familiarity with Auto CAD, Revit, or similar
* Strong experience in customer-facing roles and value engineering
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
