Housing & Tenancy Support Coordinator
Reports to: Head of Client Services, Location: Galway, with flexibility to travel in Galway City and County.
This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of properties from a Tenant-led perspective, providing a person-centred housing service to clients living in Galway Simon Community Housing. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a housing management environment, with experience of core housing management tasks, working with the general public, and strong administration skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee the housing allocations process, ensuring timely advertising of vacancies and conducting interviews.
* Facilitate new tenant property viewings, allocate and let properties, and assess transfers.
* Manage the Property and Tenant Management System and ensure all tenant and property data is accurately recorded and maintained.
* Assess maintenance/repairs aspects of empty properties and ensure rents are set as per Galway Simon Communities Rent Management Policy.
* Respond promptly to incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour and neighbourhood nuisance complaints.
* Attend residents meetings and other meetings as required.
* Liaise closely with other team members and support Galway Simon clients.
* Produce a monthly report on all housing management issues and key performance statistics.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years experience in a housing management environment.
* Experience of core housing management tasks, working with the general public, and strong administration skills.
* Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Fully clean driving licence and use of own car.
* Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to compose letters, memos, and reports.
