We are recruiting for an RDA Technologist to join us at our Global Technology & Innovation Centre in Naas
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate food creatives developing new products for the Foodservice poultry market.
In this role you will be working as part of the Meat RD&A team developing new products in line with customer briefs for Global Restaurant Chains.
Key responsibilities
1. Work as part of a team to develop market suitable products in line with customer briefs, using the Kerry Taste portfolio
2. Link consumer and customer insights into development of new products and renovation of existing products
3. Work with your team to drive proactive development in the marketplace
4. Manage projects from ideation and bench development, through to scale-up and launch
5. Develop a strong business acumen and market understanding of the Foodservice market
6. Drive and execute cost-saving initiatives
7. As part of a team, create market leading products based on insights from Chef, Marketing and Commercial teams
8. Make & dispatch sample blends and finished products for customer with all relevant information and documentation
9. Strong collaboration with Development & Application and Field Support teams
10. Support customer engagements and presentations, with infrequent travel to customers as needed
11. Regular reporting of project updates to management and the wider team
12. Work in line with business strategies to help deliver ambitious growth targets

What do I need to be successful?
In Kerry we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment.
These include:
18. BSc in Food Science / Technology or other such related field
19. Experience in the food industry is desirable
20. Previous experience of processing & knowledge of food manufacturing (ideally meat) is desirable, but not essential
21. Experience in developing meat coating systems and seasonings is desirable, but not essential
22. You should be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Flavours and Food Preservation systems
23. You should demonstrate an interest in Food (passion for food and cuisines)
24. Full training will be provided
25. This is a lab-based role, so previous lab experience is an advantage
26. Teamwork is essential. The role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & report results and learnings
27. Ability to work cross-functionally and with other departments within Kerry
28. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise your work and manage a variety of projects/briefs
29. You should have a passion for food and the ability to confidently present products and information to customers and internal stakeholders
30. You should possess excellent organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel)
