LMFM is the local radio station for Counties Louth and Meath. We have a broadcast footprint reaching over 300,000 adults stretching from North County Dublin to the border with Northern Ireland. We are the region’s favourite and most popular radio station, a position we have held for the last 30 years. Each day we broadcast a broad and varied range of award winning programmes attracting an average daily listenership of 75,000 adults.

Your Team: You will be part of the dynamic and creative team at LMFM Radio, a leading station in the Northeast of Ireland. You will report directly to the Content Controller and work closely with other presenters, producers, and the commercial team.
Your Role: Producer primarily working on LMFM’s morning current affairs programme, but also feeding into other shows.
Day to day you will:
Produce LMFM’s ‘The Agenda’ daily, 5 days a week, from 7am to 3pm (Hours are flexible in line with role)
Help plan and research shows, from content planning to transmission, maintaining high editorial and production values.
Make sure the output is of the highest quality with enough experience to guide the presenter each morning.
Generate, and develop, creative and original ideas that align with LMFM’s brand values and vision of generating curiosity and engagement with listeners. Ideas need to be presented for each show to the Content Controller and discussed in advance at weekly and/or daily meetings.
Ability to run the show from a technical aspect, including driving the desk and trouble-shooting on the fly, taking calls etc.
Archive audio to locate key audio moments for award entries and daily podcast(s).
Work with the management team to identify areas of opportunity to promote the show.
Lead the social media output in conjunction with the digital team including identifying shareable in studio video moments.
Adhere to broadcasting standards and station guidelines, ensuring content is appropriate and meets regulatory requirements.
Work with the senior management team to devise features and identify opportunities to grow audiences and support the business and drive audience growth.
What we’re looking for from you:
Solid Experience producing a high-profile successful radio show in the Irish market or abroad
Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and project management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with other teams.
Ability to run the show from a technical aspect, including driving the desk and trouble-shooting on the fly, lining up listener calls/WhatsApps etc.
Deep understanding of the audience's lifestyle and interests, ensuring content is relatable.
Awareness of all relevant social media platforms and the ability to create and manage posts.
Fully competent in Adobe Audition for audio editing.
A passion for radio and engaging with diverse audiences.
