Job Description
Our client, a Cork based leading designer and manufacturer of high reliability electronic motor control solutions, are recruiting for a Systems Test Technician. This is a permanent contract. The role reports to the Systems Production Supervisor and supports production activities as required. THE ROLE
1. Use schematics, layout drawings, assembly drawings, procedures and specifications to set up and test products.
2. Use a variety of test equipment such as Digital Multi-Meter's, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes,
Function Generators, ESS Chambers and vibration tables for test and troubleshooting.
3. Strong knowledge of electronics components and circuitry, (analogue, digital, power) to test and debug a variety of Electronic PCB Assemblies and Systems consisting of passive components to FPGA's and microprocessors.
4. Test and debug of electronic motor controllers according to established procedures.
5. Perform failure analysis for production and returned assemblies and systems and provide feedback to support teams for process improvements.
6. Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions.
7. Assist in Technician Training, knowledge sharing and Product familiarization.
8. Completion of all necessary test related documentation including yield reporting and non- conformance
9. Maintain accurate records of test results and other production-related documentation.
10. Adherence to all necessary requirements relating to Personal tool maintenance, Antistatic precautions, FOD, Safety and Housekeeping
REQUIREMENTS
11. Applicants should possess a minimum level 6 qualification in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
12. Applicants should have at least two years of experience, preferably in an ISO9001 or equivalent regulated environment.
13. Experience and/or qualifications in Lean is an advantage
14. IPC 7711/7721 and IPC-A-610 certifications are an advantage
15. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work to deadlines, within a busy manufacturing environment
16. Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of an integrated team
17. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
18. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
