As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in leading digital and automation strategies across CAPEX projects. You’ll be responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of automation roadmaps, ensuring alignment with global engineering standards and project goals. The position demands a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management to achieve successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Drive the development and execution of automation strategies, envisioning long-term project success and aligning with global and site-specific goals.
Project Execution: Lead the implementation of automation systems, including PCS, MES, and IT-OT integration, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with digitalization and automation functional leads, ensuring seamless integration of solutions across various project streams.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between program management, global teams, and external vendors to align priorities, mitigate risks, and maximize opportunities.
Technical Oversight: Manage a team of automation and MES experts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to the project’s execution roadmap.
Reporting & Communication: Develop and implement a communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed about project risks, mitigation strategies, and progress.
Vendor Coordination: Oversee vendor selection and management, defining clear scopes and deliverables for internal and external teams.
Experience:
10+ years in automation and digital services, with significant expertise in life sciences or manufacturing.
Proven experience managing large-scale CAPEX projects and advanced automation systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in L2/L3 automation technologies (PCS, MES, PLCs, Fire & Gas, BMS, and IT-OT integration).
Strong understanding of digitalization strategies and their impact on business transformation.
Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders.
Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement at all organizational levels.
Soft Skills:
Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
