Job Title: Project Manager / Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Projects

They are known for their expertise in delivering a wide range of services across various sectors, including providing cost management, project planning, and risk management services for a variety of major infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and transportation systems.
About the Role:
They are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale civil engineering projects, primarily focused on road infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of the entire project lifecycle, from initial design and planning to construction and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of complex civil engineering projects, including road construction, upgrades, and maintenance.
2. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
3. Oversee the work of design teams, including civil, structural, and geotechnical engineers.
4. Manage and coordinate the work of construction contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
5. Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively address challenges, and develop effective solutions.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
7. Prepare and present progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
9. Mentor and guide junior project engineers.
10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management within the civil engineering sector, with a strong focus on road infrastructure projects.
2. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
3. Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland (highly desirable).
4. Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
8. Experience in the application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) on projects.
9. Knowledge of relevant Irish and international standards and regulations.
