Senior Engineer

€75,000 - €85,000 per annum
Senior Engineer Dublin West €75-85k + Package
Required for leading International contractor working on large data center projects. The Senior Engineer will manage the engineering function as the senior representative, co-ordinates with the line manager and provides Engineering Leadership for their respective project. Role
1. Supervision of Setting out and onsite control, along with the (Engineer/Assistant Engineer) and subordinates/supply chain.
2. Primary point of reference for QA, record keeping and production ensuring the establishment and maintenance of the Quality procedures and requirements.
3. Temporary Works Control/Co-ordination and where required actively manages lifting operations.
Responsibilities
4. Competent and demonstrates advanced awareness in the best forms of dimensional control
5. Ensures that site and graduate engineers take responsibility for the management of survey equipment
6. Ensures that the engineering team completes as-built surveys for key elements. Understands key tolerances and can analyse details across a number of interfaces to highlight potential problems
7. Completes an individual daily diary
8. Competent in the principles of quality control for the majority of packages. Can review and create
9. Has a good awareness of the project specifications, in particular tolerances for vertical and horizontal structural elements
10. Understands the cost of defects and remedial works.
11. Can review and create method statements and risk assessments
12. Identifies where information is missing and has an excellent working knowledge of the project RFI process
13. Temporary Works procedures are implemented for both direct and subcontracted works
14. Undertakes the role of Project Lifting Operations Appointed Person (When appointed)
15. Constantly provides information to the project planner to allow programmes to be updated or updates them personally
16. Provides assistance and more often than not leads site and graduate engineers, demonstrating best practice at all times
17. Works collaboratively with other and sub-contractors’ engineers, utilising their experience at all times
18. Develops consents schedules and understands the key parties.
Takes responsibility for ground validation reports to fulfil planning obligations
19. Develops the project logistics plan and has input into establishing the programme to completion
20. Understand outputs for various trades, highlighting where trades are falling behind programme or under resourced
21. Can work and lead where necessary engineering teams of various sizes and abilities
Point of contact for technical, temporary works and lifting operations audits.
22. Responsible for ensuring that all actions are closed within a suitable timeframe

23. Competent in the use of digital information systems i.e. A-Site, Viewpoint for Projects™
24. Significant experience in the design management process
25. Temporary Works Co-ordinator training
26. Lifting Operations basic awareness course
