The Position
Forvis Mazars is expanding its Financial Accounting and Outsourcing Services Division and is seeking to recruit for a key leadership position. We provide accounting, financial reporting, compliance and advisory services to clients in various sectors including manufacturing, distribution, retail, financial services, professional services and public sector. We offer our clients a fully outsourced finance solution or expert support in key areas.
We are seeking an ambitious, experienced accounting professional who will drive the continued growth of our Outsourcing Services offering in Ireland - both by developing a portfolio of business built on valued relationships with external clients and growing a Forvis Mazars team with the relevant skills in this area to meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Management and oversight of a large team of accounting professionals
* Lead delivery of a portfolio of client engagements
* Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks including the development of relationships with team members across all Mazars practices to serve client needs.
* Contribute to the growth and development of the outsourcing division by proactively managing existing clients and identifying potential opportunities to undertake additional/new client work.
* Review of group and statutory financial statements, management reporting packs and financial analysis.
* Lead business development and client pursuit efforts with a strong insight of the market and past record of having won new business.
* Act as a technical expert and must possess strong knowledge and application of various accounting standards, primarily IFRS, US GAAP and FRS 102.
* Managing and motivating client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
* Drive high-quality service delivery within expected timeframes and on budget
* Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
* Project manage the implementation of strategic projects within the outsourcing division.
* Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment and play an active role in mentoring junior team members within the organisation
* Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge and possess good business acumen
* Contribute towards department financial objectives for billing, net fee income and cash collection
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA).
* Experience in managing teams ideally within a professional services environment.
* Practice trained accountant with 7 + years' minimum PQE.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels.
* Strong market focus with ability to identify and build new opportunities and client relationships.
* Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and the team.
* Proven business development skills.
* Ambitious and wants to pursue a long-term career in practice.
